Redesigned Recharge's loyalty offering to help merchants retain subscribers and incentivize one-time buyers to convert to subscribers. Hit 35% merchant adoption against a 12% goal (nearly 3x target), with 1M+ customers rewarded and 47.55% retention after the third order, above the 31% industry benchmark.

My process

Discovery: Listen first. It's common for me to go around the room, asking questions, chatting with stakeholders, taking notes, before I put pen to paper. Claude, Figma Make, and Stitch speed up the synthesis.

Define and design: Alignment over pixels. I use brainstorming tools and exercises to get the team on the same page. If the team isn't arguing about the right problem, no amount of UX can save it.

Know when to drop the process. The best outcomes come from knowing when to follow the framework, and when to walk away from it.

I’m fluent in interaction design, prototyping, and design systems across web and mobile. I lead with user-centered research, and actively use AI and emerging tools like Claude, Figma Make, and Stitch to elevate the process of ideation, and streamline execution. To me, good design requires empathy, observation, and continuous learning.

On the side, I co-run Rhizhome - a plant furniture brand - with my wife, Zainab, snap pictures on my travels, visit local art exhibits, and occasionally revisit a digital painting project that I probably should have abandoned ages ago.
